Apprentice Linemen/GroundsmanApprentice Linemen/Groundsman works with line crews in the power/utility industry supporting linemen who install and maintain electrical distribution and transmission lines.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesSet up job sites and safety zonesHand tools and materials to linemanDig holes, set poles and anchor guy wiresOperate equipment augers, trenchers, bucket trucksOnce trained direct traffic in work zonesMaintain and organize tools and trucksQualificationsBasic understanding of electricity and safetyAbility to follow strict safety protocolsTeam communication - working closely with a crewClass C or Class A Driver's License; CDL preferredPhysical DemandsHeavy lifting 50-100lbsClimbingBendingWorking at heightsWorking outdoors in all weather (Texas heat included)Work EnvironmentOutdoor job sites such as utility right-of-way work, construction yards, or maintenance sites.
